AS HOUSE AND THE TEAM TRY TO DIAGNOSE A DYING BALLERINA, HOUSE ATTEMPTS TO DIAGNOSE HIMSELF ON AN ALL-NEW “HOUSE” MONDAY, MAY 4, ON FOX
House and the team take on the case of a ballerina (guest star Jamie Tisdale) whose lungs collapse in the middle of a performance. When the treatment causes her skin to fall off, the dancer faces not only the prospect of never dancing again but also of dying an agonizing death. The team must use their imaginations to carefully choreograph ways to test and treat her delicate body without killing her. Meanwhile, House continues to suffer from a severe lack of sleep and is still haunted by Amber (guest star Anne Dudek). While enlisting Wilson’s help to diagnose himself, he is willing to do the unthinkable to make his visions stop in the “Under My Skin” episode of HOUSE airing Monday, May 4 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. For the asterisk quiz-challenged, the above headline poses the provocative question, "Is House going to the loony bin?"
And the answer is... I honestly don't know, but it sure looks like it. Let's review the evidence:
• House is currently seeing dead people (in this case, Wilson's cutthroat bitch of an ex, Amber).
• The logline for the May 4 episode says, "House is willing to do the unthinkable to make his visions stop."
• Last week, the show set up shop at New Jersey's abandoned Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital to shoot scenes for next season.
• I'm told something happens in the finale that is so shocking cast and crew were forced to sign confidentiality agreements.
The verdict: Duh. The only question is, will the Huddy sex happen before or after Dr. CrabbyCrazy gets fitted for a straitjacket? Post your theories below! And if you can think of some other plot twist that would have prompted the show to travel 3000 miles to shoot scenes at a funny farm, I'm all ears!
Assuming this info is correct and the NJ filming thing has nothing to do with Wilson's brother (as many of you have already speculated), I'd have to say this would take place AFTER House and Cuddy got busy. And this might be what screws up their subsequent chance at a relationship. Which would be, to me, a whole lot better than a repeat of The Itch wherein House denies his feelings and spends an episode metaphorically troubled and... whatever. What do you guys think?
